2005 Chevrolet SSR LS – LS2 V8, Power Retractable Hardtop, Smokin Asphalt Black

2005 Chevrolet SSR LS – LS2 V8 | Power Retractable Hardtop | Smokin Asphalt Black

Classic Cars of Sarasota is proud to offer this stunning 2005 Chevrolet SSR LS, finished in striking Smokin Asphalt Black over a luxurious Black leather interior. Powered by the legendary 6.0L LS2 V8 producing 390 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque, paired with a smooth 4-speed automatic transmission, this SSR delivers exhilarating Corvette-inspired performance wrapped in one of the most unique designs ever produced by Chevrolet.

When Chevrolet unveiled the SSR (Super Sport Roadster) concept at the 2000 Detroit Auto Show, few believed it would ever reach production. Yet Chevrolet turned the bold concept into reality, creating a retro-inspired convertible pickup that blended 1950s styling with modern engineering. For 2005, the SSR received its biggest upgrade with the addition of the Corvette-derived LS2 V8, transforming it into a true performance machine while retaining its unmistakable style. Car and Driver famously described the SSR as "part roadster, part truck, and part Van Halen," perfectly capturing its outrageous personality.

Finished in the highly desirable Smokin Asphalt Black paint, this SSR features a fully power-retractable hardtop that transforms it from a sleek coupe into an open-air roadster at the touch of a button. The sculpted bodywork, painted alloy wheels, and aggressive stance ensure this SSR turns heads wherever it goes.

Inside, the premium Black leather interior offers bucket seats, a 6-way power driver's seat, 2-way power passenger seat, alloy dash trim, leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, and all the comfort expected from a modern Chevrolet performance vehicle.
With Corvette-inspired power, rear-wheel drive, independent suspension, and everyday drivability, this SSR is equally at home cruising the boulevard or standing out at your local car show.
