1954 Harley - Davidson rare KH Anniversary musuem quality
This 1954 Harley-Davidson KH is restored and features an 883cc V-twin engine Harley-Davidson introduced the K model in 1952 to compete with the British bikes that were starting to gain a foothold in the U.S., however, the first couple years didn't improve much on speed over the heavier 1200cc Panheads. The answer to that started in 1954 with the KH models' increased displacement from 750cc to 883cc, along with some other engine tweaks. Horsepower of the KH was 38 HP, up from the K model's previous 30 HP. In 1953, Harley-Davidson marked its 50th anniversary in business, but special medallions and paint schemes adorned the 1954 models for some reason. The Golden Anniversary KH models could be painted in Pepper Red, Forest Green, Glacier Blue and Anniversary Yellow, like the stunning example offered here, which is the result of a meticulous nut-and-bolt restoration. Was on display in the Harley musuem in Lincoln Nebraska and is considered one of the finest examples for sale today.
